Please explain ETR.

Karmic

It's shorthand for External Time Reference. It is a synchronization (TOD) clock time of the server in order to ensure the consistency of the date data time on multiple servers and operating systems. Time reference external (ETR) is the generic name of MVS for Sysplex IBM's timer. See also Sysplex Timer.
